Anyway, he was playing guitar, kinda weird guy, and then the drummer was playing keyboard, and the singer switched from guitar to violin and totally rocked: it was pretty dope.

So I started looking around for a bit, and I found this video of him doing a bit on Noggin TV, with is basically a channel of educational programming for kids. He plays Dr. Stringz. It really is quite awesome.

"Pig" by Rivers Cuomo

Just writing an entry to let you know I'm listening to "Pig" on repeat over and over. It's a 2006 demo by the lead singer/writer for Weezer. So yeah. It's pretty dope.

Currently Listening to:

"Pig" (2006 Demo)
Rivers Cuomo
Miss Universe 2007

Miss Korea was robbed. She was definitely the most beautiful of the top 15, 10, and 5. She was a bit too realistic in her interview question, though, I guess. The question was a little weak. The dude who plays Ando on Heroes let us down. His question was, "If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?" So lame.

Miss Korea was real, and Miss Japan was totally fake. So annoying. Yarg.

Go here and click on "Buy Photos" on the left to see her hotness. Yeah.

Miss USA totally fell on her ass, too.

College Acappella

I was searching for tabs for Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone", and I came across this site: http://www.acappellau.com.
. It's a college a cappella podcast. There's some pretty cool stuff on it. You can find the podcast through iTunes, as well. There is a new premium "full-time student" podcast service for $4.95 per month, but the new podcasts since September will contain extended samples instead of full songs (because of licensing fees and such; the guy wants his show to be legit). He also co-hosts an original tunes a cappella show through CASA.org, which you can also find through iTunes.

Oh yeah, and I was looking for the tab because I just rediscovered the "H's between Vowels" version on myspace: www.myspace.com/hsbetweenvowels. Their version of "Toxic" by Britney Spears is pretty good, too.
Got Ink?
ABCInk.com: I make some commission if you buy something through this link. There are some great deals on generic versions of ink cartridges and toners. For my Epson Stylus, I got a pack of 6 generic for the cost of about one of the name-brand Epson cartridges. They don't last quite as long, but they work just as well as the regular ones. Or, you could buy some of the refill kits; I haven't used them myself, but they probably work just fine. Anyway, this is sort of a nothing post; I couldn't get the code to post correctly on any of my modules. Oh well.
I searched the TV series cast, and yup, there he was: Rob Paulsen. I also read that he was Raphael in the TMNT cartoon for 9 years. It looks like he's really busy these days. Doing commercials for Honda as Mr. Opportunity and voiceovers for a number of video games (Kingdom Hearts, FFX-2, Baldur's Gate, Metal Gear Solid), and cartoon shows. Sweet.

Tress MacNeille did Dot Warner's voice; you can find info on her on that website, too.

Jess Harnell did Wakko's voice. Apparently he's the lead singer for a band called Loud & Clear. The pictures make them look like they're straight from the 80s. It doesn't look like they've had any gigs lately, or at least they haven't been updating their website. Under tour dates it says, "Saturday, January 5, 2003 at the Whisky A-Go-Go in Hollywood!!!" I didn't bother trying to listen to the samples. They just look too ridiculous.
Back from China!

I'm back from my trip to China for the 2006 International Choir Games. We got two silver medals after competing in three categories. We kind of bombed our Gospel/Spiritual set. Oh well. I'm back in Irvine now.
